Mom is ready to get this done

6 healthy pups

Totally focused on the lunch menu!

Just a handful ... for now.

Resting peacefully

One Week Old

Puppies are beginning to fill out -- just about doubling their birth weight.  Fur getting nice and thick.  Ears losing their "leathery" texture.  Nails growing like weeds!  NOTE -- Photographic black puppies with closed eyes who essentially "sleep and slouch" creates a challenge to get any depth or dimension to the picture.  Later pics should have more "personality".

Look at my big paws!

I'm TRYING to hold my head up ... but it's so heavy!

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzz ...

Lumps of pups

Do I know you?

A bigger lump of pups.

Nyah, nyah ...

Check out the size of this HEAD.

Two + Weeks Old

More than triple their birth weight!  Getting pretty good at walking without stumbling.  More pigmentation.  Eyes open.  Very active during their waking moments.  Much more willing to announce when they are hungry

Yum!

How do you like these nails?

Is this a puppy or a bear cub?

Our eyes look blue at this stage

Slurping hard enough to hold up the bottle!

Yeah, we can sit up now.

Voicing an opinion.

I'm the only girl ... Boy, am I outnumbered!

Jared and the "red" boy.

Five Weeks Old

Really starting to show some differences in personality.  Much more active and playful.  Very eager to be picked up and held.

Lunch Time!

It's more fun if you WADE in it!

Maintaing a low profile

See how my eyes look blue?

Smile!

Waving the tail

Practicing my "Princess" pose!

I' really rather be sleeping than posing!

Six Weeks Old

Eating real food with just a little water to soften it a bit.  Playful and rambunctious.  Love to cuddle.  Pretty much trained to do their potty in a separate area with shredded paper.  Harboring thoughts about how to "escape" from the whelping box!  Weights in the 6-7# range.

Wanna see my TEETH?

"Princess pose" -- level 2

Our first swim!

This is a LARGE water dish!

OK, where is the towel?

Soggy doggy

Who has more fun, the humans or the pups?

Seven Weeks Old

Time for Formal Portraits.  (If only we can get them to sit still long enough to focus the camera!)  Eating dry food, but planning to file a formal complaint because they are only fed 3-4 times a day.  The term "feeding frenzy" has special meaning for these 4-footed Piranhas.  Vet gives a clean bill of health, and all passed their Eye Certification with flying colors.  Will be ready to head off to their new homes in a few days.
