Pictures from
Birth-Day (& first few days)
11 healthy pups, delivered over a 6-hour span. 6 boys, 5 girls.
No complications, and all are feeding normally. Quite active.
Being fed in "teams", to make things easier on mom. (When one team
decides it is THEIR turn, the choir begins to sing!)

Pictures from Week 1
What a difference a week makes! Weight has just about doubled!
Mom is definitely putting out the high-octane fuel. Scooting about
faster each day. One of these days soon they'll be up on all fours.
Eyes and ears still closed -- look for some changes in that in about a week.
Mom tends to look for some "time alone" (outside the whelping box), but she
is a WONDERFUL mother. Quite the doting parent. Quite willing to
let her sister (Wendy, age 7 months) come for "visits from Auntie Wendy"

Pictures from Week 2
Eyes are opening. Everyone is up on all fours (until they
lose balance!) and scooting about with vigor. All are over 2 pounds --
we gotta stop feeding Scarlett the Miracle-Gro! More pics will be
published as the eyes open enough to show on photos -- probably by New Years
Day.

Pictures from Week 3
The growth spurt continues. Eyes are open, causing a serious case
of the cutes. Lots of mobility, getting more sure of themselves on
their feet. Beginning to eat something in addition to Mom's Cafeteria.

Pictures from Week 4
Growing ... growing ... growing. Starting to show individual behavior
traits. Eating more "real" food, and less from mom (the cafeteria is
now a "stand-up" feeding line!). Oh, and those little shark teeth are
getting pretty serious!

Pictures from Week 7
(Sorry, we've been slow getting the pictures taken)
Remember when everybody fit in 1 tub, lying down while mom cleaned
the whelping box? Those days are long gone! Weight up to 6-7
pounds. Completely weaned from Scarlett. Everybody passed their
important eye CERF exam with flying colors. Vet visits show everyone
is structurally sound. They can all reach the top of the walls, and
they LOVE crawling into their little crate, and sleeping in their "pipes".
Yeah, we USED TO all fit in ONE of these tubs! Lying down! |
Believe it or not, they RARELY actually escape from here, while mom cleans up their area. |

Hey, mom! You got that cleaned up yet? We can't wait to get back and apply our own "decorating" ideas to give it that "lived in" look! |

Pictures from Week 8
Growing like weeds. VERY loving. Feeding time is like a stream
full of piranhas! Beginning to go to adoptive families. Still a
few available -- pass the word.
